Peanut butter cups have always been one of my favorite treats! I started making them myself after finding this recipe. Below is my adaptation of the recipe:
Ingredients
- 2 squares Baker’s Semisweet Chocolate (about a 1/2 cup)
- 2 Tbsp peanut butter (I use MaraNatha No-Stir Creamy Peanut Butter)
You will also need 2 muffin liners.
Directions
Put the chocolate squares in a microwave safe bowl and melt the chocolate in the microwave. Put it in for 30-45 seconds and check it to see how melted it is. If it’s not melted, put in a little longer.
Put the empty muffin liners on a plate. Take the melted chocolate and spoon about a tablespoon into the bottom of each muffin liner. If the bottom of the muffin liner is not completely covered, spoon some more chocolate into the liner. Put the plate with the muffin liners in the freezer for a couple minutes to let the chocolate harden a bit.
After, take the chocolate filled muffin liners out of freezer and scoop 1 Tbsp of peanut butter into each cup. Use the rest of the chocolate to cover the peanut butter in each cup. Then return the plate with the peanut butter cups to the freezer for about 10 minutes. If you don’t mind waiting longer, you can let it harden in the fridge for 30 minutes or so. You can also put them in freezer for 10 minutes and then move them to fridge to keep them for later!
Glad you like them!
