A few weeks ago I organized a meet up for my lolita comm that was Valentine’s Day themed. We rented out a local bar and had cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. I have to look that word up every time I try to spell it! It was a pretty casual but fun event. We held a contest for best valentine and there were so many creative handmade ones that entered. I love seeing all the cute stuff that lolitas in the community come up with!

My friend Nicole and I decided to do twin outfits since she recently got the exact same cut and color of Magical Etoile that I have. This dress is one of my favorites since it reminds me of the now defunct game Poupee Girl that I was obsessed with. Before I could afford to buy brand lolita clothing for myself, I would buy it for my Poupee Girl doll and live vicariously through her.

The inspiration for our coordinates came from Nicole’s Miss Kika crane game necklace (pictured below).

Nicole crafted the headpieces we are wearing with some cute items found on Etsy. There’s a carousel, lollipops, balloons, mini-champagne bottles.. I think they are actually cake toppers or decorations! I made the crane out of craft foam and decorated it with crystals! I had a lot going on with planning the meet up so Nicole did most of the work on the pieces for our twin outfits. I didn’t get a good close up of me wearing the headpiece, so here’s a photo that Nicole took:

I was really happy with how our twin coords turned out. I’m excited to do more of them in the future!
